My boyfriend and I went last night! My server was so nice and was able to accommodate for everything we asked for! The food was delish (Texas fajitas regular portion) we were able to split it! There were tons of cars the the parking lot! I'd go back any day!

Packed today, Friday, at lunch. Their lunch specials are from 11-3 during the week, I paid $16 for lunch for two, including tip. They have nightly specials, Monday is steak fajitas, Monday and Tuesday are cheap beer & margs, pitcher specials on Wed and flavored margs Thursday. They do karaoke for kids (maybe on Saturdays?). Recent renovations inside have opened the dining area up more. Good food for cheap, fast and friendly service.

Food didn't taste very fresh. Service was mediocre. I wouldn't return, it was thoroughly forgettable. Not much else to say.

Service was served cold, unhappy, straight up unattentive, seemed like it was a problem that I sat at the bar and wanted to eat and not drink. Unfortunately after hearing that their margaritas were all pre-mixed and came in a 1 gallon plastic jug (personally visualized) sitting on the shelf above the beer cooler didn't seem quite appealing to me....after all this is a Mexican restaurant. I expect my margaritas to be made to order with my choice of tequila and not some pre-mixed, week ahead, lousy mix from some cheap food supplier. I asked the bartender if she could make a "traditional" margarita and with a perplexed look of confusion and a quick mention they were even out of Cuervo...What Mexican restaurant is out of Cuervo?? Isn't that the basic staple for most margarita's?? Now if I was a "member" of the local club, I could have gotten upgraded tequila added to my "Jug-O-Margarita" or even a special mixed margarita.....Funny, I was never giving that option. Seeoing that the HMFIC was sittign at the end of the bar the whole time through my dining ordeal. Salsa was pureed into a liquified form, I could have drank it through a straw. Chips were even served cold. Dinner was good, nothing to get excited about and "lunch time" expectations. With the many options of Mexican in this city, there are handful of "authentic" places that serve better food with better service for better prices that actually want your business....get out, explore your options. My advice: if you choose to come: don't expect much anything past the basics, eat the food and get your libation in a bottle and bring a straw for your salsa, because it will run off your chips. Would I come back: NO Would I recommend: NO

Went here with a friend on a casual date. I ordered the enchiladas and a regular margarita. I wanted a flavored margarita but they only had Tex, Mango and regular Margarita. The margarita was strooooong to be regular. The enchiladas were served with verde sauce. I was surprised by that option because I'm used to salsa ranchera on my enchiladas but oh well, I didn't pay for it so, enchiladas verdes it was. There was a bit of dryness in the enchiladas as well but the sour cream and guaq helped with that issue. The manager was our server, his name is Jose'. His attitude was pleasant and his service was good. The restaurant's decor is a typical Mexican setup. The ladies bathroom was nice and clean and has a vanity seat at the mirror. But I wouldn't sit on it though. There was a pretty good crowd throughout the night but it wasn't extremely busy for a Thursday evening. And I agree with another poster...the salsa is watered down. Which completely turned me off.

Food is hot & I served fresh. Service was OK, but took several trips to correct forgotten items. Overall its average at best, good for being in a rush but would not go out of my way to go here.

Food is ccceptable but pricey for portions. Service is good however if you go at lunch it will take you 15 minutes to wait in line to pay. EXTREMELY SLOW checkout.

----I will copy/paste my review since I had my post on another La fiesta profile: yelp.com/biz/la-fiesta-d… ---- I was a bit hesitant about coming here since there is only 3 reviews so far. I figured I could check it out since it is down the street from

You know those establishments where the food is decent and the service is decent, but no way in hell do you want to see the kitchen. This is that sort of place. I don't want to know the details of when or how my meal was prepared, it would ruin the whole experience. I'm sure of it. My tamales were really good, my husband liked his green chicken enchiladas. But there are the issues- he asked for no sour cream. It came out with sour cream. There was a conversation in Spanish about it between our server and the person who delivered it. The both walked away with the plate and then returned a minute or two later with the same plate, same food, but melted sour cream all over it. So.... take what you will from it.

My menu was dirty. The hot sauce I asked for with my meal looked as though it was years old and the top was crusted and filthy. Our food came out way too fast. They're making everything ahead of time and warming it before serving it. I've vowed never to return.

Apon walking in I was instantly greeted with hospitality from the hostest. I was sat in a booth and instantly served. The place was kinda busy for a Thursday night. (I walked in at 930) I was brought chips and salsa to start with as soon as I sat down. The waiter was friendly. I asked for some queso...because I LOVE me some cheese and I got a house Margarita on the rocks. The queso is delicious, and the Margarita is a mild, not too strong. ( unfortunately :P) So the fajitas arrive and what can I say!? They are good! The steak is a little bit chewy, but I was flavorful, and from what I understand, typical...but not necessary. (I don't think) the chorizo in the fajitas added a perfect kick...which honestly made me shovel them down. I had to ask for more tortillas, which I was obliged, and quickly. In conclusion, I seriously can't find fault with this place. I'm glad I was craving Mexican, because I wouldn't have came from the reviews I read. Please, give this place a try!

My husband and I ate here while staying in town to visit Six Flags. We ate here on a Monday night and we were seated right away and had a nice meal. The portions are very big and I couldn't eat everything. Outstanding tacos! Nice patio area for eating or stepping out for a smoke.

I cane here after a friend told me he got drunk after 1 margarita. I coukdnt believe it so I wanted to see for myself. He was right. One gets you nice, two gets you very nice.... I enjoyed my food. I had the fajita quesadilla with mushrooms. It was delicious. Everyone ate all their food. I will be back soon

Great service, very friendly staff, tasty Mexican food. I had chicken fajitas and they rocked. Many places smother them in onions and over heat the pan resulting in burnt veggies. It was an excellent mix of onions and peppers and they weren't burnt to black char. Cheap, cheap drink deals that vary daily.

Decent. The service was okay... Nothing special. They have a lunch menu on the weekends until 3, that's nice. The chips were good and the salsa was spicy if that's your thing. My taco salad was tasty though incredibly unhealthy. My girlfriends fajitas came out quiet first time we'd ever experienced that. They did not sizzle, nothing! She said they were okay but again nothing special. The men's room didn't have a urinal no big deal I guess but I was kinda confused, thought maybe I was in the wrong bathroom! We had been talking about going here every time we went to Sweet Water Creek. I'm glad we finally tried it but we won't go back.

I can't say where else you should go if you're nearby and really craving Mexican, so I would suggest just getting that fix another time. The food is just lacking in flavor. That's the best way I can describe it. Terrible location in a strip mall/gas station complex doesn't help the experience.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
